Here I will be posting the resources I've used thus far, what
I've used them for, and how they can be helpful (or not).
If you are getting married, here are a few sites that really helped
me a lot:
The Knot <-Don't ever
order stuff from them! I ordered favors and they never delivered!
What To Get Registry
<-Awesome for us picky choosers
Target <- good, high
quality but stylish home stuff
Google (always)
Wed Things <- They
have some neat trinkets.
Overstock <-For wedding
showers or if you're looking for things for your house at great deals
There's also a book that really helped me called Priceless weddings for
under $5,000. If you're throwing a small wedding, then follow this book
exactly. If you're throwing a larger event (like ours), then you may have to
fudge it a bit and step over that $5,000 mark.

And as always, call up family members and friends like we did and
see how they can help. You may have a cousin who just can't get enough of stuffing
envelopes, or another relative who was a master baker in a former life. Everyone
has something they can do. And abuse your wedding party! (not literally) That's
what they're there for! I wish I had done it more! ;-)
